This massive through girder bridge crosses the Rock River at a station known as Rock, near Ashippun.
The bridge is located off Red Wing Road, a public road according to Dodge County GIS services. However, local property owners are less than thrilled to see travelers come down this road.
Made of three spans, this through plate girder bridge rests on concrete substructures. It was built in 1911 during a line rebuilt.
Missing plates indicate that American Bridge Company built this structure. American Bridge Company was one of several contractors that helped build this line.
The author has ranked this bridge as locally significant, due to the size of the bridge. It is one of the larger bridges on this line.
